Can I just vent a little? (kinda long)

So today has been a really bad day. Probably one of the worst I've had in a while. This morning I get up and get DS ready to go to my mom and dad's to have pancakes for breakfast. We get there and our dog of 15 years is laying on the floor, breathing really heavy and acting really strange. She is usually very bouncy, and gets too excited for her age. She layed there for a long time. When she got up to follow my mom into the kitchen, she fell on my moms pile of blankets in the corner of the living room. She was breathing heavier, but she had no energy to get up and walk. My mom called her friend, who is a vet, and she said to bring her over immediately. My mom took Molly, to the vet's house, and the vet said she is having congestive heart failure, and is suffering. My mom decided then to just have her put down. I was devastated. This dog has been in my life since I was 9 years old, she was like the sister I never had. She always jumped on my leg for me to hold her, and she would always "kiss" my cheek. I am thankful that I got to kiss her nose one more time and tell her goodbye, before she met God.

On top of all this, our air conditioner stopped working! It is literally 90 degrees in this house! Just 2 years ago we spent $1200 getting this thing fixed, and it's not working again! I am so mad, I hope we can find someone to fix it tomorrow.

Thank you for letting me vent...

  • I'm so sorry about your dog. My childhood dog was put to sleep when I was around 30 weeks pregnant and it was so so sad.

  • I'm sorry to hear that but your mom did the right thing. We decided to let our dog stay home and she suffered all night until she finally passed. It was devastating and I let terrible. And I would call the people who fixed it before and complain because thats ridiculous.
  • I'm really sorry for your loss. We had to put down my family dog early in my pregnancy. I was devestated... still am.

    So sorry. (((HUGS)))
