When did your baby "Wave"?

Layne has started waving at people when we tell her to "Say hi" or "Say Bye Bye"...she is 8 months. Is this late, early, average...just wondering...

DD starting waving at about 7 months, but just now started saying "Hi" with it at 8 months. It seems about average.

DD started waving at about 6 months, which is pretty early for something like that.

He been waving randomly since about 5 1/2 months, but in the last 2 weeks or so is associating it with bye-bye (7 months).

Same here. No real association to anything in particular and no actual words. He's a stubborn guy.

Gianna started waving and clapping at 7.5 months but both are done very randomly. ?I am not sure if she is waving cuz that is what she feels like doing with her arm at the moment of if she understands that she is saying hello or goodbye. ?
