Is it just me or do those little puffs just seem like junk food to anyone else? (I'm totally not judging any feeding habits or tactics. Not my intention at all.)
I dont think they are the healthiest snack for a baby but I wantto be a mom who teaches "moderation". i dont think giving a baby puffs is goi g to turn them into a junk food junkie, lol.

Totally agree. We give DD just a few every couple of days. It's like a little "treat" to her.

They totally are a form of junk food (one of the first few ingredients is sugar) but they serve a purpose. They help them develop their pincer grasp. Now that she has that down I mix in some plain cheerios as well.
Plus it is just like if I sit and eat a few chips. Just as long as she doesn't eat the whole container in one sitting then I am sure she will be fine.
We gave DD puffs as her first finger food because they dissolve so quickly. Now that she is "chewing" her food and I'm not quite so paranoid that she will choke, she gets multigrain cheerios instead of puffs.
DD learned how to feed herself solids by starting on puffs. We offer her 3 puffs to get her going. She eats one puff first then starts eating her regular food (veggies, fruits, etc).
