People have to be on crack when they name their babies

Over the last few weeks a few women at church have had their babies, and these are their name choices.  Two girls and one boy.  I swear people are on crack or something when they name their kids.  What the heck?

-Clementine
-Gretel
-Bronco

I have to say after I heard the last two, Clementine doesn't sound all that bad anymore.  Confused

    The first two aren't that bad, would I give a child those names NO! But BRONCO..wtf??

    Agreed.  Isn't Michael Jackson's kid named Blanket?   So wierd.

    I thought that was nickname not his official name but I could be wrong and would n't be surprised because MJ was so crazy.

    The first two are not my style at all...but at least they are names that have been used.  Bronco is just awful.  Poor kid.

     MJ named both his boys Prince Michael...the second one got called Blanket as a nickname.  Weird....very weird.  Not a fan of the name Prince....to me there is only one Prince and he sings Purple Rain.

    This all makes me glad that DH and I both agree on nice traditional names for our future children.  No crazy spellings....nothing that sounds weird or really old....just simple.

    Clementine is kind of cute. Gretel... Um, no. But Bronco?! That's not even a name. That poor kid will be mercilessly teased... And not just by kids! I'd make fun of him if I met him! ;)

    ugh, I feel so sorry for children whose parent give them awful names.  Clementine and Gretel are one thing (definitely nms, but at least they're names).  But Bronco, what the heck??  That poor little boy.

    I've heard Clementine and it's not too too bad. Gretel and Bronco are god awful though!!

    I seriously just don't get it, it's my biggest pet peeve!!!  Yeah, maybe they think it's a cute name for a small child, but I hope these people realize that this name they choose for their newborn baby is their name for life!!!  Can you imagine what school will be like for a child named Bronco, and seriously, in about 20 some odd years this kid be going on interviews for their career - Hi, my name is Bronco!!  What the heck?

    There is a guy I know in my hometown named Bronco. He has won some titles being a professional boxer. Not sure if that anger comes from that name but that is the only Bronco I know of.

    I agree - Clementine not so bad but the other two = awful.

    When I worked in SC we would check the newspaper daily to look at names of babies born. These were a few that made me cringe - I kid you not:

    Diamond, Heaven, Chastity, Tiara, Rowdy, Tayten, Blaze & Cash

    *Sorry to anyone I have offended if you like or know of someone who has a child by any of these names.
