Should I Call My Doctor?

Last night I started having the worst pelvic/pubic bone pain.  It didn't go away until this afternoon after laying down and doing barely anything.  I also have had lower back pain (not unusual obviously).  Well tonight I had a sharp pain near my belly button.  It hurt bad for about two minutes and then went away.  A little while later I got one in my lower left side - same deal.  I am 21 weeks and obviously on the watch for preterm labor signs as directed by my doctor.  What do you guys think?

Re: Should I Call My Doctor?

  • when in doubt always call your doc - even if just to calm your fears so you can get some sleep and not worry so much.  That is what they are there for - and are used to getting tons of calls on nights they are "on call".

it doesn't sound like anything super odd to me - but its also hard to really know what you are feeling just by reading text.

  • Just like Goldie..I am a BIG believer in when it doubt call your Dr....had I not I would have lost my babies. Call NOW..don't wait. It's okay, they get paid to help you ANY time of day or night..please don't wait it out.

Yeah, that's my rule of thumb, too. When in doubt, call.
