We only give it at night. It seems that the Motrin works a bit better, so I usually give that if/when he wakes the first time, and then if he wakes again, usually about 4 hrs. later, I give 1/2 dose of Tylenol. We also use baby orajel.
When it's really bad we alternate the two. Like this week when she cut two more teeth. It's usually the worst in the evenings so we'll alternate the two every 3 hours, so she's getting each med. every 6 hrs. We also give hylands teething tablets and gel.
