when LO hates a new food?

What do you do when your LO rejects a new solid? Do you try it again down the road? Do you try again the next day?

And if you LO hates the food, do you just introduce something new the next day or do you wait a few days?

Try, try, and try again.  I've read that it can take 8-12 times of introduction for baby to like some foods.  Unless my DD was to puke from something I would keep trying it at least once a week or every few days.

I puked with spinach as a little baby and still can't do the stuff cooked.

I'll try it for a few days in a row and then move on to something else.  We try the rejects again later and some have grown on him over time (like carrots)

So cute to see that someone else has a first baby picture that's 8 cells big :-) I've decided that I'm circling the cell that was in best focus and I'll tell Ophelia "That one is you sweetheart" someday :-)

I add some sweet potatoes (his favorite) and he will usually eat it then.  I usually wait a few days before introducing something else.

We try 2 days straight then break for a few days then try again for 2 days. We have done this with a few and she only refuses one.

i mix it wih foods she likes and gradually mix in less and less until she is eating the food by itself.

LO hates peas and i mixed in her favorite beets and just gradually added less and less beets until she was eating the peas by themselves.
