NBR: Do you think this dress is too short?

I bought this for my SIL's wedding, but keep in mind it is not a formal wedding at all....DH thinks it might be a little too short, but BFF thinks it is fine...I need more girls opinions...

It is an afternoon wedding...but like I said very informal...DH is not even wearing a tie...

I am keeping the dress regardless bc it is super cute.....but I wanted your opinions anyway..

Re: NBR: Do you think this dress is too short?

  • It would be too short for me to wear ever, but I don't wear anything above my knees. I think it's cute and if you feel comfortable in it, go for it. You aren't especially tall, are you? The model looks pretty tall so it might not even be that short on you.
  • I am about 5'5...

  • It might even fall longer on you.  Totally cute- especially for $38!
  • I wouldn't do it... it's adorable, but it's definitely really short.

You do you though, lovey!  If you love it and feel confident, go for it!

  • Just based on length in the picture I'd say no- the bigger question I'd ask you is does it pass the sit down test?

This is how I rate dresses in my closet and decide where they are appropriate.

  • I wouldn't wear it to a wedding (just me personally), but for any other occasion, that dress is ADORABLE, & it would look great on you!
  • Too short for me but I have really long legs. That would be crotch height for me :)

  • Thanks ladies....I will find another dress for the wedding :) But I will still keep this one, I am sure I can wear it to another occasion like pp have said :)
  • I am the odd man out; I don't think it is too short at all.  I am also around 5'5 and dresses that look like that on models always fall longer on me.  I actually don't even think it looks that short on the model.  I wore a similar black dress like that to a wedding a while back.

I wear it all though...long dresses, short dresses, long shorts, short shorts.  Whatever I am in the mood for! =)  I mean, I don't wear a dress that I can't sit in or shorts that show my a$$ or anything, but I personally don't consider mid-thigh length too short.

  • totally cute momma!!!!

I would wear it.  I thought I was the only one...  With your height it is really a crap shoot on where the dress will fall.  I say go for it.  I love the dress and the price is right!

I totally do the sit down test too!  HA!

  • Very cute but not for a wedding.  Besides, you will have to be move and bend alot if you bring the baby.

Good decision!  The dress is very cute---I wish I wasn't so tall so I could wear something like that w/o looking like a hoochie!  LOL!
