Day 2 update...advice needed

So we just finished day 2 of potty training.   I ahve to say it is a lot of work.  I can't get DD to "tell me" she has to go potty.  I have been reminding her constantly.  When I catch her peeing, and pick her up to run to the potty, she laughs.  I sternly tell her "yuck and to tell mommy when she has to go".  She had 5 accidents today.  I am not doing nap time or nighttime right now as i am jsut not ready for both, aslo most morningins DD wakes up with a poop..but actually tonight she didn't want to wear a pull up to bed she wanted her underwear.  So maybe tomorrow I will try doing nighttime.  Has it taken anyone else the full 3 days for the program to work?  Also any other tips for getting her to drink more.  I am offering the sippy all day, and thins morning she stayed dry for over 3 hours not wanting to pee.
