Jeebus! That was a PAIN.

I have put him in charge of finding a place for it to be inspected, I'm DONE with this for now.

    i took the easy way and took it to the fire dept. it was way too much work for me!

    Hence my post yesterday.  We're not even attempting to do this ourselves.  If the baby comes before 7/6 when we can get it done by a pro, we're throwing it in the car uninstalled and Bri & his brother can figure it out when he comes up to see us in the hospital.

    The way I understood it was that the fire dept checks your installed seat, doesn't install it for you because then they could be held liable if something went wrong with it or something.

    Anyhow, it's in. We'll have someone check it and be done with it

    I just did it myself, but taught him in the process.  That way he can put his own base in his own car.  I can just imagine what would have happened if he did it all by himself.

    Was installing it a pain, or was your DH a pain? And now maybe you see what I meant about my DH and car seat safety, he's like what's the bug deal? Just strap it in.

    My brother, Mr. Safety himself, installed ours because apparently Peter did it wrong...  grrr.

    The pain was the discussion over where it should go, whether it's in tight enough, if it's wiggling too much, etc. Plus it was 85 degrees and I was already tired and he was asking dumb questions to start lke 'why do we need to bring the seat down? we're just installing the base" dear lord
