What do you do about the biting?

DS went through a bout of biting last month but it wasnt for long. Suddenly this week he's been biting every single time we nurse. Hard...chomping down and not letting go. I've done everything I've read to do - pull him away, give a stern no, make him take a nursing break. Nothing seems to be working. He will start to frown at me then look away like he is not phased. It's getting to where I don't want to nurse, but I'm afraid if I keep fussing he will be afraid of the boob. Any ideas?
