Well, he didn't score a goal, so now I can say that I think the spelling is an odd choice.  If you're going to name your child Hercules (and it's not something I'd usually recommend), at least spell it without a Z at the end.

Definitely! And now that I look at it written, I have the urge to pronounce it like French words ending in -ez, ie, Her-cue-lay. Even weirder.

I saw that name...and it was killing me.  DH pointed out that his parents must have loved ending with a Z because of Gomez as a last name.  Ick.
