Physical sunblocks suck!

Yea yea yea, protect your skin. I'm using Neutrigina's stuff that's a physical blocker and for sensitive skin. The second my skin touched water, everything turned white. I look ridonk. I feel like I need a shower after 15 min in the pool. I'll keep it for DD, but I'll use my Ocean Potion from now on. Ick.

Re: Physical sunblocks suck!

  • Good to know.  I just bought some that Neutrogina sun block.  I'll give it to my DH.  He's practically irridescent already so it won't show.
  • I hate that stuff, it also gets in the eyes, especially of little ones.

  • Everyone here knows how I'm into all natural stuff, but I just don't like the physical sunblocks. They are not practical for water, IMO.
  • I agree. I switched to blue lizard and then switched right back to good ole waterbabies.
  • I guess this is one reason I can be thankful for pasty white skin.  I haven't noticed this at all.  I've used both Blue Lizard and the Neutrogena stuff.  I haven't noticed this on my girls, either.

My face stings like mad if it gets wet when I use normal sunscreen and Blue Lizard has been a lifesaver for this (just discovered this a couple months ago--I never made the connection and never really knew the difference between sunscreen types, actually).
