My DD is almost 3 months, but I am tired of getting up and putting the pacifier in when she sleeps in her crib. I am thinking of buying the rock and play sleeper.
Do you think it is worth buying it at this age?
Also, is the incline any different than an incline in a bouncer or a carseat? My DD sleeps well in both of those but i am looking for something a little more flat. I dont want her upright for long periods.
Could someone please help out?
Re: rock and play question
Yes, Yes, Yes..totally worth it!! DS loves it, he is almost 6 mo, and has slept wonderfully in there since 6 weeks or so. We need to move him to the crib soon, but I am dreading it. Plus, when he was younger he'd play in there while I cooked, cleaned, pumped, etc. It is more the incline of a car seat, though, so if you don't want that it might not be for you.
We bought one when Elliott was 2 mths old and diagnosed with reflux. He has been sleeping in there ever since. It looks so cozy and comfy. The problem I'm having is more that he's very attached to it. He doesn't sleep 12 straight hours in his crib like he does in his rock n play.
Btw, I don't think it will help with your binky problem. If he loses his binky, we find it either stuck to his neck or behind the small of his back. I think it falls on the side and then when he wakes up and stretches, it falls behind him.
I have to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE his "cradle" (never knew what to call it), it has given us all peace of mind and lots more sleep than we ever would have had. Now, just have to get him out of it... We will use as a next to the bed co-sleeper for the next one.
