I've always had this little obsession with purses. Some women like shoes. I like purses. Since LO was born I've carried her boring brown carters bag almost exclusively. I was outlet shopping this weekend and scored a designer diaper bag for what I would have normally paid for a coach purse. Do you think other mom's will look at me differently because I have this bag?

WTH? Yes of course all other people moms or not will look at you differently depending on your clothes/accessories/hairstyle/attitude or whatever else they might notice. I don't pay much attention to what bags other people use typically, but when I do its because I'm pondering whether I want it or not.
I have a very cool designer patent leather diaper bag in red and its been noticed by 0 people. They are usually paying attention to my son instead.
I have a designer diaper bag. Designed by WalMart! lol!
I have only ever judged one person by their diaper bag preference. And that was my ex-bf's little sister. She got pregnant in high school, her parents had just gone bankrupt, and their house had just been foreclosed. She had no job, refused to get one, and was thinking of her future baby as an accessory more than a life dependent on her.
For her baby shower, she wouldn't register with Target, BRU, or WalMart. She made up her own list and sent it out with the invites. It included diaper bags, outfits, pacifiers, furniture, car seat covers, bedding, etc that cost hundreds (some of them thousands) of dollars. And she never sent thank you notes because people showed up with WalMArt and Target items instead. And when people tried to give her hand-me-down clothes, she threw them back at the people. Literally, threw.
Her parents now raise the baby. She has a coach diaper bag, but it never gets used, except on the rare weekends that she chooses to take her baby for a couple hours so she can take pictures and put them on facebook to pretend she a good mom. Everytime I see a designer bag, it reminds me of her.
But I have never been a designer person. In fact, unless I see the label, I wouldn't recognize it, and even then, I still might not recognize it. lol! I'm one of those people that has ONE purse, period, and that's only because my last one broke and this one was on sale at WalMart for $10.00. I'm just not into it.
I am trying to find a diaper bag with skulls on it for FI right now, though. We found on Target.com before DS was born, and he has been wanting one EVER since.
I have a Coach diaper bag. No one has ever said anything to me about it...I don't know why they would.
Yep I carry a Louis Vuitton bag that doubles as a diaper bag and purse. Its the Totally MM bag so I can put bottles in the pockets on the outside. Depending on the outing I also have the freebie Carter's small diaper bag I keep stocked with diapers, changing pad, and RTF bottles. It works great!
Yes I've gotten comments on it but I don't care. I've always carried very nice purses. Those who know me aren't surprised. If a stranger says something I smile and take it as a compliment!
