LO sitting in crib...?

Fable just learned how to go from laying down to sitting up, and it's impacting her naps. I find her sitting up in her crib all the time and refusing to take a nap. Has any else's LO gone through this? How do you encourage them to take a nap when they just keep getting up? I know she's tired but she's too excited about her newfound skill that she won't do it!

It's probably gonna last a couple days until the novelty wears off... Evelyn wasn't too bad about it, but we typically feed to sleep and then put her down dead to the world for naps. Bedtime, however, is another story!! I've gotten to the point where I'll put her in the crib for bed, play her music and leave the room. When she starts crying, THEN we'll go check on her, soothe, etc. But I've given up on trying to get her to go straight to sleep now, especially since she's figured out how to stand in the crib
