Swollen labia minora... sorry if TMI

Last night I started feeling like a weird/uncomfortable sensation every time I wiped, this morning I notice only one side of the labia minora was bigger than the other side, not fat swollen just bigger. And this afternoon I looked closer and I have two blister like dots. It doesn't hurt, it doesn't itch, it is just very sensitive and the touch of my underwear bothers me... Sorry if TMI but I was wondering if anyone ever had this.

I am on pelvic rest, so I haven't had any sexual activity...

  • I had this too... only instead of blister's I had what looked like cuts. My ob said it has to do with yeast and that it's not a big deal. I would wipe the cuts with witch hazel after wiping, it will sting a little but it will help the swelling and its antibacterial. I also used neosporin on them to try and heal them up faster. It takes a long time for them to heal but after awhile its not so bad. I would let your OB know about it tho.

  • By far the best pregnancy symptom ever right? I noticed last week and asked my doctor at my appointment yesterday and he said it's completely normal and common. Ick! I hope it goes away quickly after baby comes, I didn't have this problem with DD1. ETA. What i have is not painful at all it just all looks really swollen and bumpy (sorry if that's too much information)
  • I know! it's so uncomfortable!!!!!!!! I am going comando now while I am home but I don't feel comfortable going out like that...

Thanks for the comments, I have antibiotic cream so I will put that on tonight... I hope it gets a little better from here to Sunday, it's my shower Sad

  • I had this issue and figured it had to do with the nature of my vaginal discharge -- with the increase in discharge in 3rd tri this seemed to get worse. I switched from wearing a pantyliner to wearing a maxipad during the day and have not had any irritation since. I think the maxipad helps to keep the discharge away from that sensitive skin.
