Infertility

So...the banana bread..

Turned out pretty well, all things considered. I sampled it and it is mighty tasty.

Just in case you are wondering though...if a recipe calls for 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon baking powder really isn't enough...

Not sure how I screwed that one up...must have been the wine Stick out tongue

Still tastes good, just didn't rise all that well...

I have totally switched out baking soda and baking powder while I was sober, if that makes you feel any better Smile

I love making banana bread-do you have a good recipe?

  • Mmmm banana bread. Yankee candle use to make (I dont think they still make it) a banana nut bread candle that I loved.

I am always very liberal with the baking soda b/c I like things fluffy. I also have to reread a recipe a bagillion times to make sure I'm using the soda when I need to and powder when I need to.

  • YUM!  Sounds good - and glad it turned out okay with the accidental swap.  Makes me hungry for banana bread, but we have no bananas in the house so i guess i will have to settle for rice krispy treats
  • Oooh that does sound good!  I wish my DH would make me some, cuz I don't feel like doing it!  My banana bread never turns out all that well, no matter what recipe I use.  I'm careful to use the baking soda instead of the baking powder... only because I've made the same mistake once or twice already Stick out tongue  Live and learn!
