My Pedi said to wait until 9months to give him any meats or yogurt, but yesterday H went from eating 12 oz of babyfood to 26 oz of babyfood!! I'm thinking he might need something heavier to sit in his stomach. Anyone else feeding meats and yogurt before 9months? We're still on Stage 2 foods and whatever veggies or fruits I mash up. TIA!
Re: Too early for Meats and Yogurt?
My Pedi said anything is okay but just to remember that my LO doesn't have teeth so the problem is more the consistency than anything.
Have you tried more puffs than baby food purees?
We've done yogurt - just make sure it is full fat, we like the YoBaby peach (organic section, the only whole milk yogurt my store carried!)
He eats what I think is a TON of puffs at each meal as well as some cut up pieces of whole fruits. He also drinks 24 oz or so of BM. Maybe it's just a growth spurt?

Stage 2 has meat selections and so DD started meat at this week at 6 months. So far it's only been chicken and I'm doing beef or turkey for her this weekend.
With DD1, around 7 months, I started giving her very small pieces of chicken that I was eating. And by 9 months, she was completely on table food (and also formula) and eating everything we were eating. I'm just not sure how to get DD2 there. I honestly feel like a first time mom sometimes!
