It's strained yogurt, so the consistency is thicker and creamier-more rich in taste and it has higher protein and less sugar than most regular yogurts. It tends to be tart, so might take some getting used to if you've never tried it before. I lOVE the Trader Joes brand and Fage or Chiobani. Pedi recomends full fat greek yogurt for the LO. I eat the 0% for me. You can add a bit of agave syrup or fresh fruit to it if you want to sweeten slightly.
