Sort of stupid BCP question that I really should ask my OB

So I guess since we're really going through with the weaning thing, I can get back on my beloved Ortho Cyclen now. But, um, I haven't had a PP period yet. Do I have to wait for that to happen before I can go back on the pill? I'm guessing no, but just curious.

I hadn't started my first PP period when I started back on BCP.  I got it a few days later though.

Just to clarify, I AM going to ask my OB, as I have to get the script before I can get on the pill. I do kind of want to wait a bit and see if I get AF soon.

I don't think you need to wait, and the regulation of hormones might help bring it on.

My doc said to wait until after first period to start the pill.
