Blublusher's post below got me thinking about this.
Do you love where you live?
Where would you love to move?
For me, I am fine with where we live. It's hot as hell, but I grew up here and know a bunch of people. The beach is close and so are two major cities. We live in Lakeland, FL.
If we could move, I would move to Jacksonville Beach or somewhere in N. Florida, maybe in the Panhandle.
Re: Do you love where you live?
I don't LOVE it, but I grew up here.. I LIKE it.
I would love to move! but my DH is a homebody and would never leave the area so I try not to think about other exciting places we could be living.
I love where we live (it's somewhere in the N. Florida panhandle lol). I would love to move somewhere in the midwest though.
We're from South Florida and absolutely hate it but North Florida is so much different.
Do you love where you live? No way! Maryland is so expensive and, in my opinion, the people here are some of the rudest in the country! I grew up in San Diego and love the weather there but it is entirely too expensive!
Where would you love to move? I would love to move to Tennessee, Colorado, Texas, Wyoming, Montana, Iowa or Oregon.
I'm getting used to it.
I grew up in South Louisiana. East Texas is, surprisingly, a lot different. I hated it at first, but now I'm starting to settle in and I do like it. I've been here 3 years.
If I were to move, it would definitely be back home to Louisiana. I miss my family like crazy. But I'm not as desparate to move back as I was even a year ago. My mom will be retiring in a few years and is planning on moving here when she does. And that will make life a lot better!
I live in Los Angeles too and love it for all the good points you pointed out, which for me, far out weigh the bad points.
No, I don't love it. We currently live in south florida and hate everything about it - including the weather. We would love to move to the midwest, that is where my and DH's family lives and we really want our kids to grow up around family. We dont' have any family down here and not really any close friends either which gets lonely for both of us.
Coincidentally, I just returned to my office after asking my boss to transfer me to an office located close to my family. He gave me the run around, so it doesn't look good.
Love Love Love where I live. Would never move. A lot of St. Louis people are like that. We are loyal to our city. I am 20 mintues south of st. louis my whole family my DH's whole family all live here. Cardinals Rock!
I wouldn't mind having a vacation home in Gulf Shores though. It is very pretty there. I also think Louisville is a neat city but I still would never move away from St. Louis.
Do you love where you live?
I don't love the area i live in but i do like it. I do love california.
Where would you love to move?
Ideally i would love to move back to San Diego, CA. I was born and raised there. Hopefully i get to grow old and die there too.
Sharmurph, where did you grow up in SD?
I do - I live in Austin, TX.
DH and I are both from PA orginally, and we also lived in NYC (Upper East Side of Manhattan) for years.
I think Austin is one of the most beautiful/fun/liveable cities in the U.S.
ETA: it is hoooot, though. Last summer (when I was pg) it was over 100 for 60+ days! Awful. And we're talking 105, 107... plus it's not a dry heat, it's humid.

Orange County, CA. I love where I live. I was born & raised here. My whole family is here, DH's family is here. We bought a house 2 yrs ago & we love the area..if anything, i would just move up the hill where i'm at since those properties are bigger. I would never move
Oh I really like Austin. My BIL lived there for awhile and we would go visit him it is so beautiful. I still don't wanna move away from my hometown but I agree that Austin is great!
Heeeeeeeeeeeeey....take that back miss, humph! I'm kidding! I certainly don't consider Maryland to be a southern state even though we're below the Mason Dixon line. People are rude and in a rush to get no where.
I was born and raised here in Baltimore, Md...I love it! I highly doubt we'd ever leave because I don't want to and DH has lived in so many states, this feels like home to him. I think I'd have to take him out kicking and screaming.
I live in Denver CO and I love it here. I was born and raised here and DH was born and raised in the mountains so all our families are here. Denver is great because of constant sunshine, no humidity, plenty of amenities, outdoor lifestyle, and, best of all, we're a stone's throw from the mountains and hiking/skiing, etc). We have no intention of leaving.
I've lived in Chicago, Nashville and Michigan and, while I liked all of those places, I always went back to CO.

I like our apartment but I'm not a fan of the city and gobs of people and the lack of parking and the horrendous rush hour and...
I would LOVE to move to and live anywhere in the state of Maine. I love colder climates and the people there (at least when I visited) are all so friendly and it's just such an incredibly beautiful part of the country.

LOL! I grew up in Houston, so to me it is not humid here in Austin, ever!
I live in a suburb about 30 minutes south of Austin. I love where I live and I'd be perfectly happy living in the Austin area for the rest of my life.
If I had to live somewhere else and I got to pick the place, I'd move to a place that had 4 distinct seasons. I've never lived outside of the southern and central part of Texas and so I've never experienced what it would be like to live through all the different seasons.
