Yogurt

My mom started LO on yogurt this morning.  She said that he really didn't care for it.  Do you think I should try again tomorrow or stick to the routine of oatmeal and fruit for awhile longer

Re: Yogurt

  • I'd try again. Was it plain yogurt? Maybe mix some fruit in.

  • My bean LOVES the yobaby, it is like she can't get enough.
  • Was it baby yogurt?

We do the Horizon one (had a coupon) and she loved it...it was stawberry and carrots...

Then I think we tried a Gerber one...she also loved it....

    I'd try again!

  • I tried plain yogurt a few days ago and got the yuck face. Then I mixed some pureed mango into it and she ate the whole serving. I also tried apples and cinnamon mixed in this morning and she liked that too. GL!

FWIW... I also mix any green veggie with sweet potatoes and that does the trick there too. I found I get her to eat almost anything with the right combo,

  • We use the Gerber yogurt and mix a little formula in to make it not as thick...

  • I did plain whole yogurt mixed in with the roasted banana and pear recipe from Weelicious. He pretty much asked for seconds, lol.
  • I was using the stonyfield yogurt.  i didn't think we could mix in fruit but I guess if he is ok with the peaches, pears or whatever he has tried already I would know that its the yogurt if he got a reaction to it.  Thanks for the ideas, I will try again in the morning.

  • I think I read somewhere that it may take many times of trying a new food for an infant to "accept" it.  I wish I remember where b/c I'd love to read that again.
