Portland & First steps

I've been checking in on you guys but haven't been able to respond. I  did a lot of ER last week, people leaving town, Ada is going through a phase of being really attached to me, then we traveled to Portland.

Anyways, I put in some responses in the posts but they're admittedly late. But I'm thinking of Robyn and Aaron and Dinah...gosh...

We're in Portland now and I gotta tell ya - I love this city! Great energy...we took a picnic next to the Willamette River yesterday and there it was that Ada took her first shaky little steps. So exciting!

  • Awww... first steps!  Definitely exciting!

I loved the birthday pics, Monica.  Ada is so cute!  And, yeah, I feel ya on the attached-to-mommy phase. My poor shoulder (old rotator cuff tear is flaring up) is feeling it.

    Yay for first steps!

And tell us more about Portland. It's on our list of places we might settle down in.

I blogged extensively last night about my newly found love of Portland. It's absolutely on our short list. OHSU has a 12 mHz magnet, which is the limiting factor for DH's job search. I guess it's big enough b/c he was looking at the neuroradiology department online last night! I can totally see us here - it's our kind of town. It would be awesome to have a fellow Pa35er around ;-)

I'll blog more as our trip continues...

  • Big hooray for first steps!  I haven't been to Portland in years, but I always said I could easily see myself living there.  Enjoy your trip!
  • Great to hear from you, and awesome about Ada's first steps!

I hear you with the needy baby thing.  Argh.
