Amazon Baby Registry?

Has anyone used Amazon.com for your registry, or as a baby shower guest?  Would you recommend?  We are tempted because we order A LOT through Amazon and they seem to have a good selection of the items and brands we're looking to include on the registry.  Would likely include Buy Buy Baby as well.  Please let me know if you have any experience with Amazon's registry and if guests were willing to shop online.  Thanks!

There were a handful of items, particulary twin-specific products, that we couldn't find at Buy Buy Baby or Babies R Us, so we created a small amazon registry in addition to BBB and BRU.  A few people bought gifts from there and BBB, but most bought from BRU.

With our first, we created registries at BRU, Target, and Amazon.  Most of my family are out-of-staters, so they preferred to order items from Amazon and shipped them. DH's family all live in-state and bought from Target and BRU (mostly Target).  Don't know if it's a glitch, but we still have access to Amazon registry even though DS is 20months old. We use it as an "idea list" for Christmas/Bdays, which family likes. Personally, I prefer to shop on Amazon when given a choice for gifts, and like you we buy a LOT there.

I've never registered there, but bought gifts for someone from there. As a gift buyer, I thought it was great and really easy. I just clicked a few buttons, and sent the gift. They already had their address in the system, it shipped right to the house, and I was done!
