I'm looking for a padded splat mat type thing. I'm thinking of that padded mat that is under the stylist chairs at the salon. I want one to put under the high chair for messes and also so our hardwood floor is protected from hard plastic and wood toys that are thrown with great force. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or where to find one?
I DID Google this, but I don't even know what to call it. The splat mats I have found are basically canvas that have plastic on the back, but not padded.
Okay Sherlock Mamas - let me know what you find!
Re: Okay, I KNOW this exists...
I googled 'hairdresser mat'

There are other options, too, if you google it using that term.

I did look for those thing, but they either cost around $100 OR they are sold in bulk. I would like a cutesy one that costs maybe $50...and I just want one. Haha - maybe I just have unreasonable standards. Orrr maybe I should invent this and make millions!

Here's a salon mat for less than $40. Not cute, but perhaps you can use the regular high chair mats over it, that way you can just toss them or throw them in the wash instead of having to scrub the padded mat?

I'm glad you posted this. I have been wanting gel mats for in front of my stove and sink for when I'm cooking and doing dishes, but the only ones I saw were also in the $100 range. I might buy these and throw a prettier kitchen rug over them.
