Sitting Up?

My 6 month old seems to have no interest in sitting up.  She has started crawling this past week but still falls right over when you sit her even in the tripod position. 

How many of you have 6 months old who are sitting up or at least attempting to sit up?  I'm really looking forward to this milestone because I'm sick of carrying her around in her carseat.  It's so heavy that it's getting to the point that I just can't do it anymore.

I am in the same boat. My LO will be 6 months on the 4th and he can't really sit up but he can crawl! He wants to sit up and tries, but he can't. He topples over every time.

Katie didn't sit up until she was 6.5 months.

My DD is sitting up now and is good at it. She started sitting up really good about 3 weeks ago. She isn't too interested in rolling though.

DD started sitting up the week she turned 6 months...but she isn't crawling yet

 This is completely opposite of my LO, I wish he sat up instead of crawling b/c he gets into everything lol

yikes.. I'm feel for you. I'm not ready for DD to crawl yet.

Cora can't sit up on her own (not even tripod) or crawl. She just rolls and rolls....and rolls some more.

Mine has been sitting up for about 3 weeks, she is not crawling yet though.

DS has been sitting up for a couple of weeks and is juuust on the verge of crawling right now...he's more of a scoocher.

This is us.  DS has been crawling since before 6 mos, and he'd much rather go somewhere than learn how to sit still.  What fun is that?

DD has been sitting up for a few weeks now. She's at the point now when I can actually leave her unattended with her toys and she'll be fine. She can sit for a good 30 minutes or so, though this has only happened in the past week or so (before that it was a few minutes at a time).

No crawling yet--she just gets pissed off when a toy is out of reach, lol.

He can sit up for a few minutes now before he tips over.  We had to work on it though, and only about a week ago he wasn't even doing the tripod.  We just sat on the floor with him, and he finally got the hang of it.

DS can sit up for short periods of time, but not without me right there or else he topples over. He has also started doing this inch-worm type scoot on his belly...but no crawling yet.
