I'm not sure . . . honestly I'm trying to figure out how to keep it small w/o hurting anyone's feelings by excluding them!

  • Not looking forward to my baby being 1, but yes I have thought about it.  My other son will be turning 4 four days before my youngest son.  I plan on doing it similar to my first son's party.  We did BBQ mini sausage things, chips and dip, vegetable tray and cake with maybe another thing or two.  We had it at our church and invited family and close friends.  I would guess we had about 30 people or so.  It was a Baby's First Birthday themed animals party.  With them both having the party together I will probably just do something animal related or something.  I have already figured out the date and told a few family members that I don't see too often.

Oh, if we do a theme, it'll be either ladybugs (red, not pink) or butterflies.

  • I've thought about it, but tried to push it out of my mind lol.  We are planning a small laid back celebration probably without a theme.
  • all I know is that I'm not doing a halloween themed party because he's probably going to want that when he's older!
  • I've already started buying some things.Embarrassed

  • I think I want to do a color scheme of purple black & orange, maybe some Halloween touches but most likely a 1st Bday theme.
  • The theme is going to be ladybugs, and the kids are welcome to dress up, but it wont be halloween themed. Olivia will be wearing a  cute ladybug costume though Big Smile

  • I've been planning since 7 months.. and starting to buy things also.  The clubhouse has been booked.

I'm giving myself plenty of time to accept the fact that my baby is going to turn one.  :(

  • I'm excited and will probably do some sort of polka dot theme.  I think I'll save Halloween parties for when she asks for them, but then I'm not much on Halloween to begin with.  I've already bought the balls for her ball pit, but I haven't done much else!

  • We don't know anyone around here, so it will mostly be family. I try not to think about his 1st birthday!

  • We picked a date and location but thats about it...
  • I didn't realize ladybugs were so popular Stick out tongue We were thinking ladybugs, but we also love duckies. Things is, I don't want this huge get together in a hall because it won't feel like a birthday for DD. There aren't many options aside from a pool party where we live and it's done all the time. I really want something a bit more original. If we do go with the duck theme, I will most definitely be filling that damn pool with rubber duckies [:D=
  • Our family and close friends are all on the east coast but we have made a few friends here so we will invite them and have a small get together. Gabrielle likes music and dancing so we'll do that and I'll just let her have fun in her cake :) Also thinking about filling her baby pool with those ball pit balls (you can buy a bag of em online) and having a mini ball pit for her and the other 2 babies we know.
  • We are doing a picnic. I really haven't thought of a theme yet but I know we will be celebrating a month early because we are moving across the country in early October.

  • I can't decide what I want to do. LO's birthday is October 30th. We are going to do a Fall/Pumpkin theme. I really wanted LO in a tutu, but now I'm thinking maybe she should wear a pumpkin costume? Any Opinions?
  • Our house will be decorated for Halloween because DH and I love Halloween but I don't think we'll do a themed party yet. I wanted to but then decided against it because he won't remember it and I might want to use the theme for another birthday. Basically bright colored streamers and balloons and a cupcake that he can smash probably.
