Tomorrow we're going to Orlando to see a specialist to find out if DS needs a corrective helmet or not. DH is paranoid and doesn't want to drive our car, so we're borrowing MIL's Dodge. I'm worried about having the car seat in the front. We're going to turn the airbag off obviously, but does the "car seat in the middle" rule still apply? I just don't know how the 3 of us will be for room. What do you ladies do?
Re: Anyone drive a pickup?
DH has a pick up and it states in the manual that no children under the age of 12 are supposed to ride in it! he has a ford (i think it is the 350).....apparently it is not safe for a baby seat/conv/booster seat. we have only driven with her in my ford explorer.
definitely check the manual.....DH thought it would be fine with the airbags turned off, until he read it. it kind of is a pain to have only 1 car that she can go in, but he uses his pickup for his 2nd job.
DH has a truck, but he has an extended cab. He has a 2nd row of seats in the back and that is where we put DD's carseat.
Honestly, even with the airbags turned off, I would never put a carseat in the front
This. We have an F150, but its extended cab and the carseat is ok to go in the back seat. Its never ok in the front.
