EBF + Feeding Solids

I usually feed solids about 1 hour after nursing.  Do you give your LO anything to wash down the solids?  Do you give your LO pumped milk or water?  I've been doing pumped milk but lately I haven't been able to pump that much.  Just wondering what other EBF'rs are doing.

i offer the sippy cup with water after solids, she hasn't mastered it yet but she gets a little bit.

I am going to try an oz or so of water because solids seem to make Georgia backed up....hopefully it helps.

She usually has a fruit of some kind in the a.m and a veggie around dinner time...

I do sometimes, sometimes I don't. If I do I just let her nurse for a couple minutes. She usually takes a couple swigs and pops off. If I don't nurse she doesn't get anything after. Once she gets a hang of her sippy I might offer an oz of water, but probably not till then.

He usually wants to nurse not to long after he eats his veggies. I guess that takes care of it.

This is what I do too.  She may suckle for a min or two and that's her chaser :-)

I usually give her water. She can drink from a cup and a straw so I just let her have as much as she wants. She usually takes an oz or 2.

This is what we do. He'll take a few gulps initially then get lazy.
