*Circumcision Revision- Anyone Else*

My DS Cole has to have his circ revised in August :( I know it is a minor procedure but still will be getting an IV and a little anesthesia. We are seeing a great specialist and I feel very comfortable with his decision. He was a 35 week preemie and I think he was very swollen during the 1st circ so now it is uneven and doesn't even look circumcised.

Anyone else go through this yet or have to?

How was the recovery?

Re: *Circumcision Revision- Anyone Else*

  • my GFs son had it done and she said it was super easy. I would think it would be better then what I had to do with my son. I brought him to a dr to have it looked at thinking it would need that as well...no he ended up pulling the skin bad bc it had grown up. worst thing ever as a mom to do!

  • We don't have surgery planned yet, but we are seeing a pediatric urologist next month because we are having problems with adhesion.  My SIL is a urologist and has reassured us that the surgery is very routine and quick and usually much harder on the parents than the little ones.  Good luck!!
  • I'm so glad to see this.  My son's circ didn't go as well as planned and he has extra skin, still.  I kept asking the pediatrician about it and if we needed to do anything to fix it and was always told no.  Now, he's 5 and it still doens't "look like Daddy's."  I don't know if he's too old now but I'd like to fix it.... might have to google stuff or ask another doc.  Anyone dealt with this so late?
