Baby Acne

So, the LO has baby acne & I really don't feel like having to truck her into the Pedi to tell me this & tell me that it will go away, eventually.

Did/does anyone else deal with this?  If so, was there really anything that can/could be done?

    Mari had it.  It lasted about 2 weeks.  All I did was wash her face with a warm washcloth like 5 times a day.

    Don't take S to the pedi - there's nothing they could really do about it and no worries, it's very normal.

    Alexa had it for about two weeks as well. I think its just a phase that all babies deal with at some point.

    My nephews both had it, but they definitely both had it longer than 2 weeks. I'm not sure if it was multiple "break outs" (if that's what you call them?). I have noticed that my older nephew has real sensitive skin. When he was teething and drooling a lot he would get a rash on his face, and if he eats certain foods he gets a rash also. So, maybe they just have more sensitive skin than other babies? I don't know, and I've never thought to ask my SIL about it. I think with both boys the baby acne went away & never came back after they were 3 months.

    It largely has to do with your hormones in her system and will pass.  If anything don't over wash or treat her skin, just wipe it with gentle cleanser and leave it alone- less is more here.

    G had it for a couple of weeks as well...When I asked the Dr about it, she said it is due to all the hormones in my breast milk and there is nothing that can really be done and it will go away in time....

    A has it, I just wash his face daily. It seems to be going away, then again it appears when he's mad and it's hot out.
