Am I the only one that does not have fb account? It seems that I am the only one besides my grandmother that doesn't do fb. Anyone else out there that doesn't do fb and why?
So you have a reason you dont have it? I have family who live away, it is nice to keep in contact with them. But I think that people can get addicted to it, and thats when it becomes a problem.
I have started using FB more since LO arrived. We have a LOT of extended family and many are spread across the US. FB helps us all stay in touch and keep up with the everyday happenings in our lives and everyone love the photos we post of John, just as I love seeing the photos and stuff posted by all of our aunts, cousins, etc. Even my grandma has and uses her FB account.
It is also a great way to network for my business and to keep in touch with friends from high school and college that I don't get to see as often as I'd like. I definitely don't get time to have long phone chats anymore so it's great to be able to send quick messages and see their statuses so I am still in the loop.

I don't get why people are anti-fb.. FI is and sometimes it totally bugs me! I enjoy being able to reconnect with old friends and share pictures with family that lives out of state. We are moving 20 hours away from my home town/family/friends Aug 1 so it will be a great way to keep in touch with the ones I wouldn't call or talk to every day.
I personally could care less about "reconnecting" with old hs or college friends, but I do have one for family to see Mason, most of my family hasn't even been able to see him in person yet so it helps. But I don't go on there to play games or anything, i load pictures and that about it.
I like FB. I have relatives who have never met DD so this is a way to keep up with them. In fact, now I can stay in touch daily with them, something I was never able to do. We live far away from each other and I would be lucky to see them once every few years. Thanks to FB I am actually getting to know my cousins. It's sad, I really knew nothing about their personal lives, their likes and dislikes etc.
I also just reconnected with an elementary school friend who just moved back into town, she has a 1-year old and now we go for walks together (I don't have any other friends in town). I would never have been able to reconnect with her without FB.
It's all about how you use it, not everyone acts like 13 year olds on there.
My DH doesn't. If he feels the need to look at people he'll get on mine. He doesn't want anyone on the internet looking for him (like anyone cares that much). He doesn't like how people put tmi pics on there, like of him partying back in the day. I only put up things on there that I feel comfortable sharing with the world. I have to have it because I like to know what is going on. Who got engaged, who's pregnant, etc... I like seeing pictures of friend's babies and my friends tell me they enjoy seeing the pictures of my baby.
My friend doesn't have a FB account and she's a total snob about it - she talks about it like it's a cursed thing and she will never "jump on the bandwagon" as she calls it. I don't care that she has decided to not have a FB account, I hate how she's such a *** and a snob about it. When other friends and I talk about something funny we see on FB, she rolls her eyes...
My entire extended family is in Europe, so FB is a great way to stay connected w/ my cousins. It's also a great way to stay connected w/ the mom's in my mom group here.. we're a group of 50ish and it's so easy to post "anyone mind lending out xxx book for book club?" or "heading to the park at 5 if anyone wants to meet us" type stuff. Makes life easier
Mainly though it's for family. My grandparents even have an account! So does DH's grandma, all our aunts/uncles, cousins.. It's so nice to be able to stay connected w/ both our huge families.
That said, DH doesn't have an account and sees no reason to get one. He refuses to! And I know one of his cousins doesn't have one because he now works for the govt. and they asked him to delete his page.

I don't FB, myspace or twitter or any social networking site for that matter. I don't see a point in it personally.
We have a flicker account that we update regularly with photo's for the grandparents.
