Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Fireworks.... at 11pm....on a Wednesday...

So my neighbors are crazy, young guys.  Last they started lighting off fireworks at 11pm.  Large fireworks that were exploding right over my house.  My dog was terrifed and kept jumping on the bed where she is not allowed and I did not want them to wake up LO.

We live on almost an acre so after the 2nd firework, I marched all the way to the end of my yard in my husband's huge shoes (he was at work) and yelled, "PLEASE STOP, MY BABY IS SLEEPING!" like a total crazy person.  But they stopped!

And now I am dreading the days before 4th of July (and my neighbors think I am nuts).

  • I personally would have called the police. But good for you for yelling at them. That's just rude!

I have called the police on them so many times that they would have known it was me and for some reason I am scared of them retailiating, which makes me nervous when I am home alone.

  • I can understand that. We live in the burbs, and have an alarm, which makes me and DH feel better when I'm home alone. It's like $35 a month for ADT, so I would check into that.

  • I live two blocks from the beach.  Every year about a week before the 4th of July we start getting fireworks going off.  On the 4th it's like a war zone til way after midnight.  I'm feeling like a scrooge and I'm almost thinking about taking LO and our 3 dogs up to my parent's house for the night.
