why is my AF lasting this long?

I had a C-section.  Got my period back in March and it's been coming monthly but lasts well over a week.  WTH?

Mine just returned yesterday, but even before DD my periods were 7-8 days long. There's a ton of fluctuation in AF PP so it's totally normal. If you do BC and you're done BFing you could always get one of those pills that shortens or eliminates AF.
