Last time I weighed her, about a month or so ago, she weighed 16. I just weighed her today and she's 15 lbs. Granted, it's not an exact science- I weigh myself, weigh myself holding her, and subtract the two, and our scale isn't digital- so I know it could be off a little. It still worries me. She has started crawling around a lot more the past month, so she could just be so active that she lost a little weight (maybe?). My main concern is that lately I've felt like my supply is getting a bit too low so now I'm afraid I'm starving her.
Does this warrant a call to the doctor? Her next appointment isn't until July 27.
Re: So, DD is down to 15 pounds...
i would call the pedi and have her weighed. even if it just gives you peace of mind....because if she really is losing, what if she loses more by then?
i see your ticker....congrats! we are not preventing and if i got pg again i would try to keep BFing as well....is it completely exhausting?
Does she seem like she's hungry and not getting enough?
I'd definitely call your pedi and see if you can come in for a weight check. That way you'd at least know whether or not to actually be worried.
I am in the same situation as you, and my little man started getting SUPER fussy in the evenings when BFing. Sure enough, when I try to pump at the end of the day I get nothing. So we've had to start supplementing at the end of the day with formula. Only about 3-6 ounces a day, but it is making a huge difference.
I would definitely call the pedi. Explain the situation. I told our pedi at DS's 6 month appointment that I was worried about my supply due to being KTFU and she told me to bring him in anytime I wanted to for a weight check.

Obviously I'm not the OP, but I would say that the most exhausting part about BFing while being pg again is all the pumping I'm having to do to try to keep my supply up. I hate pumping. I drink tons of water and Gatorade and eat a lot more, but really the physical exhaustion isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I seriously think I was more tired when I was in first tri with DS!
