Ian has it too. Washing his head with the washcloth helped. But I did also do the baby lotion further up on his face to his hairline just to get all that dry skin that I don't think was cradle cap.
Olive Oil (yes, the good kind you cook with) dab a bit on a towel and then on his head shortly before his bath and then brush it out with a regular tooth brush. The brush is the right size and 'pressure' so it won't be too hard on the baby's scalp.
I got this from a magazine and it really worked - though Lil Miss did kinda smell like a meatball : )
