Up until now, we've been using a ring sling to carry our LO around, but he's over 20 lbs now, and getting a bit heavy for it. We are taking a trip to Europe in a few months and wanted to purchase an umbrella stroller to use while we're there. We have a BOB Revolution at home, and we've slowly been getting him used to it, and he seems to be doing well, but it's way too big to haul overseas.
I want to keep it under $250 or so, and I want a big canopy, a basket for storage, a shoulder strap would be nice, and the ability to recline if possible. Lightweight is always good. I saw the MacLaren Volo's, but don't know anyone who owns one, and LO was in a grumpy mood last time we were at babies r us (it's 2 hours away from here).I know that one doesn't recline, but we liked the simple look of it and how light it was.
What else should I look at?
Re: umbrella stroller recs?
We love our MacLaren Quest. It comes with a carrying strap, which is nice when you travel.
I also recommend the Ergo baby carrier - depending on the city, an umbrella stroller may not work well on some European streets. I've been to Europe many times (pre-LO) and would probably bring both the Ergo and MacLaren.
Edited to add: The Quest comes down to $178 at BRU with their 20% off coupon that you get in the mail. I found that to be the best deal.
those are both cute. We also have a Beco carrier to use, but we both get pretty hot when I wear it, so depending on the weather/activities, I want to have a choice!
Where can I look at that bumbleride in person?
