I had a really hard time nursing DS while we were away from home. I never could find just the right spot,s ince it usually wound up being in someone else's room (like one of my young niece or nephew's) and there was no chair. So, this may sound silly, but how/where do you nurse (tandem or not) away from home when they are still little and need to eat frequently?? Also, when did you begin to take your babies out in public like to birthday parties. We will have one when they are about one month old (or less if they are born full term) and it makes me a little nervous!
Thanks for answering my goofy questions!
Re: BFing away from home question
I wouldn not take infants, without shots, to a birthday party where other children are going to be. It's just to risky to me.
I don't BF so, I can't help you there.
Depends on where I'm going to be and who with. If I'm going to be with DH, I usually will pack one bottle of milk then BF one and he'll bottle feed the other then pump the other boob on the way to or from where I'm going while DH drives. We are actually on a trip now and went to the lake today. I took my EZ2 Nurse and sat in the back seat of my car and tandem nursed them. I never really plan to tandem nurse in public though. It is just too hard to keep them covered and in good position without my EZ2 Nurse.
Also, I probably wouldn't take them to the party. If you do, I'd recommend a no touching rule for kids and a wash your hands rule for adults.
