Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Ok so not hungry after 4 hours? Help!!! please. :(

Is that normal? I waited an hour because she was just not hungry at 3pm but she is ALWAYS hungry every 2-3 hours, and now it's been four! And she SCREAMS and CRIES when I try to put her on my boob. Is this okay or is there something wrong? She seems fine otherwise but then she starts crying and I just don't know what to do for her and so that makes me cry because I won't have long to nurse her when I go back to work in 3 weeks.

Did bottle feeding her a few times each on Friday and Saturday night ruin the boob for her?? Is this STILL from the 2 month shots on Friday? Why won't she eat? :( Now it's going on nearly 5 hours and that just doesn't seem right, not when she went six hours in the night and has only nurses three times since then.

Please help you guys. :(

  • fever?maybe shes really gassy? My dd doesnt want to feed when her tummy hurts, but dd also has reflux.

I would worry too, but they say...."she'll eat when she's hungry!" so dont panic. Try to feed her again maybe express some milk on the outside and rub her lips with it so she get a teaser.

    Hang in there!

  • I'm even more confused because she took a bottle and seriously GOBBLED it down, 4 oz gone in like, five minutes. So she will eat from the bottle but not from me. Did we ruin her for nursing by feeding her so many bottles over the weekend (about 3 - 4 a night - we went out and I had drinks).

Now she is super pacified and mellow in her crib. So she WAS hungry this whole time but juts didn't want it from me.

  • DD does this her last feeding at night.  I don't know if she's overtired or what but she'll latch and suck a few times then scream.  After doing this a few times I take her off, walk around and shush her awhile, and try again once she's calmed down.  Sometimes it takes a few tries.  DH got frustrated last night and gave her a bottle (even though I didn't want to) and she took it way better than the breast.  But I don't plan on giving into it, if she wants to eat she can get it from me!
