I always told DH that I wanted at least 3. He says that if we have more than 3 he would have to get another job...so 3 it is. He now says 2 and maybe a third. But I am pretty stuck on 3

Before I had DD, I wanted four and DH wanted two. Right after her, we both decided we were done. Now I want to be done after this next one, and DH wants FIVE. Ya right, DH. Not only would I die, there's no way we could afford that many.
I think we'll probably end up with three.

I have always said 2, so has DH. We don't want to be out numbered. I had a lot of siblings and as much as I love them all. It was really hard on my mom and I don't think we each got the indivdual attention that would of been nice. Being an older sibling I did, but some of the younger ones didn't and I feel sad about that. It was also horrible at times with the picking on each other.. trying to police 7 kids just doesn't work all the time especially when both parents worked.
Now that we have DD I kind of want 3 because (if I could choose) I would like 2 girls and 1 boy. I would love for the next one to be a girl so DD will have sister and a brother. I am really close to one of my sisters and can't imagine life without her. I also want DH to have a boy to do boy things with.
Pretty much whatever we have next will determine if we have a third. If I have another girl, we will consider a third. If it's a boy, we will stop.
Re: XP: How many?
If money were no object (could hire someone else to cook & clean, DH could be home all the time, paying for college would be no problem) we'd want 4.
As it is, we're planning to have 2. We'll be TTC in late August so they'll be 2 years apart if everything goes according to plan (ha ha).
