If you have can you please tell me what your experiance was like? I delivered at Sharp Chula Vista and hated it. TIA! Also what OB did you have? I am going through IGO.
I haven't delivered there yet, but I did tour L&D and postpartum. It seems very nice and all of the rooms are private which is great! My OB is in Encinitas at Encinitas OB/Gyn.
Babywearing, cloth diapering, formula and breastmilk feeding, still can't believe I'm a mom, momma to my little man, two furbabies, and two angel babies.
I delivered at Scripps Encinitas and liked my care a lot but did not like sharing a recovery room. I will be switching ob's so that I can deliver at La Jolla next time! I have several friends deliver there and all had very wonderful experiences.
1st m/c July 2008, 2nd m/c December 2008, Baby boy born in 2009!, 3rd m/c (c/p) June 2011, 4th m/c September 2011
I did last February and we loved it! We had wonderful nurses and outstanding care. We had to go in a few times and visit perinatology prior to delivery and all of our interactions were very positive. We really liked having a private room too.
One more thing...we really liked that they had a NICU run by Children's Hospital right on the L&D floor. Happily we never needed it, but it was really comforting to have it there.
I went through Scripps Carmel Valley and was delivered by my wonderful OB, Dr. Ellis, but one of my good friends has IGO and she was delivered by her primary OB. I'm pretty sure they make an effort to deliver their own patients whenever possible. You may have other Dr.'s from the practice checking you during recovery. Also, if you have already picked your pedi, they will visit the baby in the hospital. Otherwise, Scripps will provide pediatric check ups during your stay.
I delivered there in January of 09 and March of 06 and loved it. The staff was very nice the pedi I wanted was right there is the same parking lot. My OB with both those pregnancies was Laurie Greenberg of IGO Medical Group and I loved her too. Unfortunately my insurance won't cover her this pregnancy so I am back to Pomerado Hospital
I will be delivering there in August.. I was really impressed with L&D and the private rooms. I go to North County OBGYN right next door and have been very pleased with the group practice.
