We love going to MyGym! In fact, we had class today
We started going when Mungee was just 6 months old and still wasn't sitting well ... she's come a long way! I did switch her from a mixed age group class to one with babies all under 12 months. There's even a 5 month old in our current class, who started when she was 3 months!
Here's a synopsis of how class goes (45 minute class, once a week, the gymnastic activities and songs get changed up every week)
Arrive and socialize with other babies - play with toys
Welcome song in circle
Warm up "exercises" in circle (identifying body parts, stretches)
Song in circle
Dance (This is more exercise for the parents than the babies!)
Free play while the coaches set up gymnastic stations
There are usually 3 gymnastic stations - today Mungee hung from the bars, then did a headstand, rode on the see saw and took a "roller coaster" ride down a slide on a riding toy.
After the gymnastic stations, the coaches bring out some swings and jumperoos, as well as one novelty swing (today's was a hot air balloon - they had a bucket hooked up with ropes and draped a colorful parachute over it)
During this time, Mungee also socializes with the other babies.
The swings get put away and then there's a closing activity and a story/song.

With the membership, you get one class a week and one free play a week. Free play is open to all ages and I find there isn't much to do for our babies ages. However, there is a free play right after our class, so I and a couple other moms/babies usually stay and chat.

Madisen, there's a place by where you live that might be more convenient for you, location wise. Same premise as MyGym, I think. Message me on Facebook if you want more info
(Of course, I would love it if your LO could come to Mungee's class at MyGym though
Mungee and Me
How is it that my BABY is going to be 3?
We did MyGym for several months and liked it. I really liked that you can cancel at anytime and pay nothing. I canceled ours bc I knew with summer I wanted more flexibility. I think it was around 50/60 a month- I can't remember though. I do know that there is a JW Tumbles also.

Thanks, all.
Pookie, can you email me the extra info for the other gym you mentioned?
I'm considering the 9am Saturday class so far...not sure if Mungee goes to that one or not.
Emailing you on FB now. We do not go to the Saturday class, I heard that one was pretty full! And it's during Mungee's naptime.
