Parenting after 35

small milestones :)

Sitting up all by herself yesterday.

Rolling over from back to belly this morning - FINALLY!! Jeeze!

Tonight's milestone will be sleeping for the first time unswaddled. She is a pro at taking naps without her swaddle. I think she is ready. And I am too. My mom and my dh have both been bugging me about it. I kept saying "when she rolls over back to belly". Time to put my money where my mouth is.

I have been soooo busy at work (and at home) that I haven't had time to post much. I hope this week is a little easier!

  • YAYAYAYA. DD just started rolling back to tummy 2 weeks ago. I cant keep her on her back now at all. She started sleeping on her tummy as well. She actually sleeps better now than she did. Hope the deswaddle tonight goes smoothly and that she STTN!!!!!!! Let us know how it goes!

  • Way to go, Sydney. Good luck with the deswaddling. We will be swaddling until kindergarten, I think. She breaks free during the night whenever she is ready, but still needs it to settle into sleep in her crib. She still naps in her swing too though.

I can't wait to hear how it went.

  • Woohoo! Go Sydney! DD slept much better once she was able to roll herself onto her tummy.

PS Love the kissy/pouty face pic in your siggy!

    DD1 is 3, DD2 is 1.
  • Wow. Sienna never liked the swaddle. She was like Houdini & would always find a way out. I think we stopped when she was like a month old.

Congrats on her milestones. Every single one is exciting!!!

  • Congrats on the rolling & sitting up, Sydney!!   And good luck with the deswaddling, Dana!  I was just thinking that we hadn't heard from you in a while - glad to hear you're just busy with work and not getting sick of the bump! :)

Let us know how it goes tonight...I will keep my fingers (and toes) crossed for you!  I'm sure she'll do fine since she's been napping unswaddled.

  • Please let me know how the sleeping goes.  Michael still hits himself in the head when he is trying to go to sleep and waked himself up.
