It's official!

It's official!  Our 30-day waiting period for TPR is up, Isabella is our forever child!  It has been such a long, emotional road, and I am just sooo happy that our journey has ended in a forever child.

For those of you still waiting, all the heartache and stress is sooo worth it!  I would even go through the devestation of our first match all over again to end up with our beautiful baby girl!

    I'm so happy for you.  I know the waiting was very stressful.  You are so right about the heartache and stress.  Through 4 years of IF, 2 miscarriages, and a failed match, we wouldn't change any of it for the world because we had to go through all of that to have Ben in our lives.  God Bless You and your forever family!

    Yay!!!  I can't even imagine waiting 30 days.  Seriously, I couldn't do it.  We had to wait 72 hours, and that was bad enough :)  Congrats!!!  When can you finalize?  We have six months of post placement visits, and our first was yesterday.

    Yay!!!  I can't even imagine waiting 30 days.  Seriously, I couldn't do it.  We had to wait 72 hours, and that was bad enough :)  Congrats!!!  When can you finalize?  We have six months of post placement visits, and our first was yesterday.

    It's going to be 6-9 months before finalization.  Our attorney filed our adoption petition in court on June 9th, but CA hasn't even started our home study, or sent us the paperwork in the mail.  I would REALLY like to finalize in 2010 so that we can take the full tax credit this year, so we'll do everything in our power once we get the paperwork to move things along.  We also have four required post placement visits.
