Charlie's week of summertime fun

Big week.. we had our first trip to the local zoo and got to play in our baby pool out in the driveway.

Zoo was okay.  He didn't even notice the huge giraffe looming over his head.  More interested in pounding his little feet on the wooden rail.  But he did have on his cute little safari outfit, so it was worth it.

Pool.. he was kinda "eh" about it.  Just sat there in the water and looked around.  I think he was confused as to why he had shorts on in the water.  "Aren't I supposed to be naked for this??"

  • LOVE the safari outfit. I always think that is Caroline's reaction to the pool too..."why am I taking a bath with clothes on?"

  • Yeah, if you ever get a chance to come to Colorado Springs, the zoo here is amazing.. and I've been to a lot of zoos over the years.

They have a herd of 20+ giraffe and they built a really nice pavillion where you are right at head level.  Plus, you can buy special crackers that are good for the giraffes and you feed them,

The zoo is also really kid friendly with tons of play areas and such.  And it's not a huge place, so it's good for little ones.

PSA over.. I love that place!   We're getting a season pass next year so we can go all the time.
