OK, I know it sounds like I will never be happy with M's eating habits, but the 9 bottles a day are making me crazy! He really only wants 4 oz. at a time, but he often eats every hour that he is awake. Is this normal? I am guessing that this will slow down a bit when we start solids??

Re: So much formula!
Wow, Miller, that's a crazy schedule you're making Mommy keep! Sounds like you have a snacker, not an eater.
C could never really handle more than 6 oz. at a time--maybe 8 oz. every once in a while. And he's not all that enthusiastic about solids, either. Some babies are just not hearty eaters.
Not sure if M has any dietary issues, but I guess you can call the pedi and see if you can start the rice cereal. That might take the edge off his hunger.
That seems like a lotta eatin' mama!!
At that age Ada was still eating pretty frequently. Not that frequently, but it was still pretty often.
Could this be a phase?
Have you tried giving him more than 4 oz and he just stops eating?
Our pedi told us at our last appt that when a baby starts taking in more than 32 oz of formula a day that they are ready for solids. I would call your pedi and see if it's ok to start him on cereal.
