By the nanny... I'm so disappointed. After the prior incidents, I had kinda been keeping my eyes open fir someone else, but not seriously looking. One day last week I got home before DH and it seemed to be going pretty well. Well, Friday she texted and asked if we could get my MIL to come at 3 on fri to watch B so she could leave early. Last night she texted around 9:15 and said she couldn't make it today because her son was sick. She was so sorry, etc, etc. DH stayed home until 11 today, then his mom came and spent the rest of the day with B. The nanny has not contacted us at all today, DH called her and she didn't answer or return the call. How shady is that to leave is high and dry that way? I can't understand how someone with kids would do that. I'm just so mad I could spit.
Re: Totally burned
Oh man. I think this chick needs to go. I thought you sent B to a daycare, did you not like that place?
I am sorry this lady is causing you so much stress.
Good for you. I wouldn't bother giving her 2 weeks either. She obviously has no respect for you! Like I said before, I really hope something falls into place quickly for you!
While it sucks that she has left you in a bit of a lurch it's much better that she's gone now before anything too stupid happens.
I hope you get things sorted and can find a normal provider that is great for everyone involved.
This totally!
Ugh! That totally sucks! I'm glad to hear you're giving her the boot. And, I don't think she deserves 2 weeks notice. If she is this crappy of a sitter when she actually has a job, just think of what she'd be like knowing she had been fired!
I hope you guys find a sitter ASAP!
