Success after IF

Think I am having a gall bladder attack - call the OB?

last year at 32 weeks pregnant I was sent to the ER by ambulance in A LOT of pain.  It was so bad that it hurt to breathe.

They did a bunch of tests and determined that I had a gall bladder attack and that it would *probably* have to come out after the baby was born.

Well, I never had it taken out - mainly because it was not bothering me anymore.

Well, I am having side pain that goes to my back (left side if it matters) and if I take a deep breathe, it hurts.  Kinda feels like I have to throw up, or pee - hard to explain.  Last year (Ithink) the pain was in my right side??

It is nothing like last year.

Should I call the OB?

  • Your gall bladder is on your right side, with your liver.  This is different if it's on the left (spleen, panceas?).  Definately call your doctor.

  • Yes, I think that you should call your doctor.  Good luck!
    Nothing to see here....
  • I'd call, it could be a kidney stone or infection.

  • Like pp said, your gallbladder is on your right side. I had issues with mine right after delivering my girls. My eyes and skin turned yellow and I was really sick. If you are having any pain whatsoever, it is better to be safe and call your OB!

  • Yup, gallbladder is on the right side.  I'd call your OB, but you also might call your regular doctor.

  • Called the OB, and it only took 45 minutes for them to get back to me, thanks :(

Based on what I told him, he thinks I pulled/strained a muscle.  Take Tylenol and if not better call him in the morning.

He also told me that if I have bleeding, cramping, shortness of breath, etc, etc to call back and go to the ER.
