Am I supposed to register for baby #2?

Someone at work asked me when I was going to register.  Honestly, I hadn't planned on it since this is the 2nd child.  Do people do showers for 2nd babies?  Do I need to register?

We are but only for the coupons if my family asks about it then I will give them the info but they just asked me what I needed and told me off my list what they were getting me.  Im not doing a baby shower just beacause I dont like the idea of them unless their is 5 years or more between kids.  I have head of people having sparkles or a diaper shower.  We will do a meet the babywhen the baby is 3 weeks old because we dont live near either family so this way everyone will get to meet the baby but I dont expect gifts just everyone to come have a good time and see the baby before its 3-4 mos old.

I didn't.  There was very little I needed and where I'm from people don't have second showers so there was no need.

Yea no shower for the 2nd or 3rd.  You can if you wanted too if people are asking.

I think it depends on what people in your "circle" do. I got asked when I would register also, and I just said, "It's my second baby, I'm not registering." I didn't have a shower, nor would I expect one.

I never did a registry for 2 or 3. I did one this time (#4) for Babies R Us, only because my MIL wanted a wishlist of items that we wanted/needed for the baby and I also needed a new infant seat (mine expires this coming December).  Other than that I'm not advertising unless people ask.

we are but not publicizing it.  if someone asks, we will tell them.  no shower or anything.  we need a few things because it is different seasons, and different genders.
